Acceptance does not mean resignation …

I’m not hugely fond of reminders on positivity, positive thinking, catchy little slogans to live your – very hard chronically ill – life to but this statement from Michael J Fox did provoke a rare – neurologically damaged – sensation of fellow feeling.

‘Finding a way through things’ is totally where I am at.  I don’t always succeed to my own satisfaction but I keep trying.

I do find Michael J Fox to be a truly inspiring role model in terms of the continuing to live a life with chronic illness without hiding away – whilst working in an industry that overtly shies away from ‘difference’ – or being, generally, preachy or ‘heroic’.  Love him in The Good Wife …
